Sorry Martin but forgot to enclose the logs yesterday but have enclosed them for a EPG Update scan at 11:30 this morning using the NextPVR Freesat beta version!
The SAT>IP tuner would seem to be working and gets used every day to supply live TV to my 3 TVs using TVheadend! The last time I checked I was using the latest software on the tuner. The badged versions sold by other companies used the same software version! The reason the SAT>IP tuner does not work on my live NextPVR server seems to be to do with something in the database file. It works as expected on my NextPVR test server after a clean install. Which ever EPG update I use I want "Avoid Duplicate Recordings" to work. On some channels a "New" item may be re transmitted numerous times over following days! Chris

I selected "Update EPG". It scanned the two frequencies!
Underneath after the scan it says [0 inserted, 0 Updated, 0 Skipped] The listing you sent are the Channels listed under the Channels tab and all have Freesat(UK) selected at the EPG source! Is there anywhere else I should have selected the EPG source?

Scanning two frequencies is normal if you've got your EPG set to Freesat. It scans the Freesat frequency and the OpenTV frequency.
I've updated the Windows beta version of the app. Try installing it again, then do the Update EPG again and let me know how you get on.

Update EPG worked with 12790 inserted,0 updated, 0 skipped.
The number seems a bit high as I think its usually around 8000. Will investigate later as a bit busy at the moment!

The new NextPVR Freesat EPG seems to work well but unfortunately the "Unique ID" used in "Recently Deleted" to "Avoid Duplicate Recordings" are incompatible with the "Unique ID" I have been using for many years created with EPG Collector. I have "Recently Deleted" set to two years so have almost 3000 items in the list. I have used EPG Collector for many years to create a DVB-S and a DVB-T XML EPG files to import into NextPVR.
Below are some IDs created by the new Freesat setup for NextPVR. How Do They Do It?/241918 Inside the Ambulance-S013E004- Inside the Factory/m/11KBD One Foot in the Grave/A69Q2G Deadliest Catch-S010E009- Food Unwrapped Investigates/70921/003 Garden Rescue/2795294 Last of the Summer Wine/A6M7WG Below are the IDs of items I deleted in the last three days! E6252057 240477 E5963847 QQHO2O 240478 240479 QQKIDP 240480 It would seem that Freesat transmit a lot of optional EPG data and the new NextPVR uses some and EPG Collector uses a slightly different set!! Complicating things is the fact that quite a few channels use the Terrestrial Freeview DVB-T2 EPG and “IDs” which I used before I bought a DVB-S2 tuner. So I will have to continue importing the XML EPG file created by EPG Collector!

I noted Freesat uses the CRID and sub needs to provide an option to use his custom format. I could probably write a script to convert them in the PostUpdateEpg script if you want to see how this would work.
One thing I see odd is the format string for S/E seems to force 3 significant digits not 2. It would be interesting if you could zip up your database and I could look you existing history and what is being stored vs new episodes. Martin

The new "Freesat EPG" looks good and NextPVR recognises my SAT>IP tuner. The problem is that the new "Unique ID" used to identify "Recent Recordings" is not compatible with the IDs I have been using for over 8 years!! My Recent Recording IDs are kept for 2 years and contains almost 3000 items so dont want to abandon them!! There is certainly NO way to directly upgrade the old IDs to the new version! Another thing I need to check is the IDs used by the terrestrial DVB-T2 Freeview transmissions. They use the same format as Freesat but don't yet know if they use the identical ID so that is my next job!
As I only tend to regularly record only 10 channels I am thinking about these channels having two EPG entries one using the old IDs and one using the new IDs. A simple manual solution would be to manually enable the recording on the adjacent channel using the new IDs and cancel the original. At lunchtime most days I skim through the NextPVR EPG for afternoon and evening looking for any new recordings to make so could make the changes at the same time. My son has written several PHP scripts to modify the data from the EPG Collector created EPG so I will see if he can write a script to change the Unique ID!!
