Another related question is if GB-PVR supports subchannels? The docs from the latest mdapifilter claims it does not. But isn't subchannels what gbpvr use for it standard multichannel support from a single transponder?
A CI device is only able decrypt the stream flowing through that device, so it is not able to decrypt streams from any other cards. I'm also not aware of any multi-tuner devices with CI slot, probably because most CAM modules are only capable of decrypting a single channel at a time.
It has the same limitation as multidec in that multi-record will not be used by the application when an encrypted channel is involved.
You should be able to use multiple DVB cards with CI slots, CAM modules and smartcards though. Multidec plugins are bit finicky when you go beyond one instance running in a process.
CI will suit some users. Multidec will suite others. Some may go with a mixture of the two.
