does anyone know if this requires you to have windows MCE or can these be installed on Windows XP Pro machines aswell ? i have been told by a supplier that they will only work on MCE ???

Just need to confirm before i purchase.

no MCE not needed. These don't have remotes and stuff though.

I've got a PVR150 retail and PVR500 MCE
