I would like to go back to windows 2000, from windows xp, but I do not think my remote will work under 2000. Will the MCE remote work on 2000? And if so, how do you do it.

Thanks
Thanks for the help guys Wink
Yes I got it to work, so I guess you can use it on win 2000.
Hi!

Could you please tell me how you got it working?
Anyone else can help with this?

MCE remote and Windows 2000 Server...
Success!!

If someone else needs to know, this is how i did it:

1. Dig up MCE Remote drivers from Windows XP Pro or MCE installation cd. They are called irbus.sys and irbus.inf. Use "expand" command to extract them from Windows cd.

2. Plug in MCE Remote ir-receiver. Point driver installation to files mentioned above.

3. Download MCE Remote Replacement Driver and update drivers with them.

4. Download and install HIP. Follow it's documentation and setup wizard, with normal MCE setup.

...Thats it, working!Smile
