....First post, so i'll just say a quick "Hi Folks!!!"

....I hope this proves useful for someone!.

While looking around for info on my new DVB-T, I stumbled across a webby...
...It's a HUGE list of DVB USB/PCI/pcicmcimia...er, those laptop cards, with "in-depth technical information" (chip numbers, .inf file lists), photo's of boards & chips (including USB type ripped open) and also the different badge names the hardware is sold under!.

(NOTE: will take a good while to load up if your'e still stuck on dialup due to amount of images...it's slow enough on 2mb!)

Also, if anyones looking for a CHEAPY CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP! DVB!,
yesterday I bought a KWorld DVBT-USB 2 Digital Box TV BOX HDTV Ready
[Image: DVB-T300U_picture_001.jpg]
from Scan computers as it was (and still is! - 3 days now) in their TODAY ONLY offer section (groundhog day item?).
Amazon are selling this badged as V-Stream Xpert DTV-DVB for £51.95.....
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0007...e&n=560798
Most other places are selling it between the £25-£35 area.....
I just bought this from Scans Today Only section for......(drumroll)....
KWorld DVBT-USB 2 Digital Box TV BOX HDTV Ready *Promo Exclusive* £13.99(+VAT) £16.44 (INC VAT)!
http://www.scan.co.uk/todayonly/

Sweeeet!

From the guff iv'e read, the hardware is good & works very well, but the software is pants! but I did know that before buying.
It does come suppied with BDA and WDM drivers so fingers and toes...and arms and legs.....and eyes crossed (still working on the ears) it'll work.
Although if it doesn't, all is not lost as I did have it working fine in Media portal.
EPG worked well and picture & sound was better than I expected although I didnt get round to trying record/pause etc.
But I really would love to use GBPVR instead.

Anyhooo, back to my query.
I'm really hoping to get this Kworld DVB working with GBPVR, and would be extremely grateful if somebody could help out please?.

I found this DVB listed on the site above with allsorts of info & data which will hopefully help someone crack this case, but it's gobbledygook to me unfortuantely as this is my first dealings with PC TV.

I also found out that the KWorld DVB-T 300U TV Box USB 2.0 is also sold as:
V-Stream Xpert DTV-DVB-T USB 2.0 Digital TV Terrestrial with Remote Control

So Im hoping someone can help out please?.
As I said, this is my first dealings with TV on a PC, and only got the DVB-T yesterday so i'm an Über n00b with all this!.
(but dont worry, Im not a puter noob....I wont assume you want to marry me if you ask me to go into the registry!.....course, I may consider it if you get GBPVR working for me hehehe!).

Thanks Gang!

Best Wishes,

CUS.
You could also get the pci version of the kworld (tevion brand) one from aldi for £14.99, I did and it worked ok. For £14.99 I was willing to take the risk as kworld are not exactly known for good support. You need to edit the BDA.ini file within the gbpvr folder with info found using graphedit; there is guidance on the wiki pages if memory serves me correctly.
