I just install a GeFORCE 7600 GS AGP 512mb, i think is suppose to install the pure video decoder from nvidia, but when i look in the GBPVR Playback options the decoder does not appear there. is the purevideo the "system default" or there a way to know if it really install.

There are 2 purevideo entities.
1) The Purevideo feature set on Nvidia video cards (eg 7600GS)

2) The Purevideo MPEG2 decoder software which you have to buy separately.

The Purevideo feature set offers video display features, but not MPEG2 decoding (note however it does provide MPEG2 hardware acceleration, but not direct decoding).
The Purevideo MPEG2 decoder is an independant MPEG2 decoder and provides MPEG2 decoding, but not video display features.
Hopefully this makes it a bit clearer to understand
