Perhaps this wills save others some time and grief.

Hauppauge has several WinTV PVR-150 models:
  • "Media Center Edition" (MCE) is slightly newer and more expensive, and includes an FM receiver (with a second coaxial cable input - for the included antenna) on the card.
  • "White box" means it is for OEM use, so does not come with the pretty packaging. It likely doesn't come with the IR Remote Control (which you may not need anyways). "Bundle" typically means it does come with the IR Remote Control.
  • "l.p." means Low Profile. This has a shorter card and bracket AND CAN ONLY BE MOUNTED IN LOW-PROFILE PC CASES (can you tell where I went wrong?). It does not include a user-changeable standard-height mounting bracket (as some other cards do). It uses a 1/8" connector for the audio input (other cards have RCA inputs for audio), and does not have the 1/8" input for a remote control receiver.
  • Then there are models for NTSC (North America) and models for PAL/SECAM (Europe and elsewhere).

Happy capturing.
