I was planning on storing all my DVD's on hard drive for viewing on my TV via my HTPC. Now I've found this forum and the wiki, I see that the MediaMVP can't handle DVD format. So, if I converted my DVD's to MPEG2 would I lose the 5.1 audio? I know the MVP can't distribute 5.1, but I would like it for use via my PC onto the TV in the living room.

All you have to do is rip the dvd's to iso's with dvd-decrypter. Install Daemontools (very simple). Then you can play the dvd-iso's from gbpvr as if it were the original dvd's.
