I already have an IR port in my laptop. That I would like to use with a Universal Remote to operate GBPVR.

However, I have no clue where to start. I don't know how to configure my IR port. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I dont think its possible. IR ports on laptops typically understand a different type of IR signal (IrDA).
