There is no support at this stage. Most people using GBPVR seemed to have a PVR250/350/MVP so the remote control interface is designed for the Hauppauge remote.
You can get other remotes, including possibly the xcard remote, to work using girder to control GB-PVR. More info on girder is at http://www.girder.nl.

Have you considered adding a plugin interface for supporting new input devices?
I'd like to use the XCard remote as well. I've got a remote and sample code for reading it, I'd be happy to write a plugin if there was an interface available.
For me, the advantage of the XCard remote is that it has seperate volume and cursor controls. It could be made so that you colud change the volume from anywhere rather than just the front screen.
