I currently record onto the HDD of my PC and playback via MVP. I have been looking at the Emtec Movie Cube-R as a possible replacement for the MVP as this would add network attached storage capacity and would mean I have the option of playback without needing the PC.
Has anyone any experience of this kit? Does it work well as NAS?
Does anyone know how much noise they make? I have spent a lot of time and money making my PC quiet so if this thing has a fan and noisy HDD it would not be acceptable.
