Hi Forum,

Excuse my ignorance, could somebody please enlighten me on what the Acronyms "PCH" and "NMT" mean and why so many folks have discussed how they are on a waiting list for "PCH" and what that means?

They refer to the Popcorn Hour (Network Media Tank)

The PCH is Popcorn Hour and it is the physical device that most people buy to access GB-PVR. The NMT
is the Syabas package (Networked Media Tank) the runs on the Popcorn Hour that really provides the software mvpmcx2 needs to run.

Where it get confusing is the NMT runs on at least four other devices such as the ISTARHD and each of these have some features that distinguish themselves from the Popcorn hour. It is possible that mvpmcx2 will work on these other devices too, but mvpmcx2 and the survival guide instructions have not been tested with their firmware, which is always a little different. Here is a brief explanation that will no doubt be out of date soon
