Your logs don't actually show a crash or an attempt to play a file, however I think there are a few things to check.
- I don't see a connect on the MVP streaming socket which most likely means that a firewall is blocking the connection or you are also running the Hauppauge software.
- I don't think GBPVR's parser supports mpeg-1 files

Thanks for the hint. I have tried to load up the Huppage dongle and fired up the huppage server. The mpg file can be played but still freeze up after playing for several seconds. BTw I am connecting to the 42" 1080p lcd tv that caused the problem and also I have used home-plug to obtain ip address. The my music option is working fine for both huppage server and gb-pvr server. The mpg file played through the media classic player( on my pc) works fine.
About a year ago, I am connected to my old tv and use the older version of GB-pvr without home plug and it works fine.
Anyway, I am kind of give up. Just use the my music option for now.
