Full Version: PCH-A110: no sound within music-apps

i have recently setup a pch-a110.

gb-pvr starts from hd without problems (including wol by ether-wake which i added to the startmeup script). i'm using 1080p resolution over hdmi.
i can watch television (dvb-c/ts-mux) and recordings, both with superb quality and with working sound.

problem that i have now is that neither mp3's nor wma's produce sound when i use the gb-pvr music-apps (music library, music, music library 2 + 3).

playback from within pvrx2 from the gb-pvr server and the pc-client works.
playback from within pch-a110 and its internal hd works.

Compress and upload your GBPVR logs and I will have a look. Also I have a couple of questions

- are you using any command line options?
- you said no sound, does that mean the player is on screen and you can see the time count up or do they just not play?

/etc/mvpmc/ether-wake 00:22:15:EE:F9:8D
/etc/mvpmc/mvpmcx2 -m 1080p -o hdmi --emulate 192.168.1.2 &

gbpvr appears on the screen just normal.
i start the music-file and the name of the file is displayed at the top right - as on the pc (there's no time-count on the pc too)

the main-issue seems to be:

when i change the recording-directory from \\pc-bobs\xxx to d:\xxx the pch-musicplayer is started and the file is played.
but still there seem to be some errors in the mvpmcx2 log?

Because the GB-PVR server is running as a Local System account privilege, to play any file from a share, you would need to use IP notation, and not a name, and the share would have to have guest access. If your share has a password you would need to change the GB-PVR Recording Service to run at as a different account and you need specify the username and password on Log On tab of the Services property.

There are no errors in your example when you play properly, that is just the UI shutting down when the media player starts up. You should see the UI start up after the play is finished too.

Martin
so the pch-ui is normal during music-playback... thx for that insight Smile

still had some problems.
but after clearing / setting the web-scheduling options again it seems to work now.

thx for the quick help and for giving us a "real" interface for the pch martin!
