I am running windows vista ultimate x64, a hauppage wintv pvr pci ii tuner in my computer and i am having a problem. I was recently able to view my tv signal through my cable box with about a 5-10 second delay in windows media center, however once this stopped working i downloaded gb-pvr. i have the most recent drivers from the hauppage website (which arent very recent) and im trying to get GB-PVR to work, but im having a very hard time doing so. please help!
We're going to need some more specific info. First, I don't find any reference to a WinTV PVR PCI II tuner on Hauppauge's site. Several Hauppauge PCI boards have that designation in the drivers, as that string does appear in GB-PVR's direct.ini file which is the supported driver list. The PVR150, PVR250, PVR350 and PVR500 all include that designation; is your board one of those?

Next, where are you running into problems? Have you followed the wiki quick start here:
http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Quick...QuickStart
99% sure those are software based recorders - if it is it wont work with gbpvr, you need to have a hardware mpeg based tuner.
You may have a PVR-250, which is Hardware encoded and works with GBPVR.

After googling your description, this is what makes me believe that it is a PVR-250 http://www.snapstream.com/download/hardw...lation.asp and you are seeing it in your device manager like the image near the bottom. If you are not sure, physically pull and look at the card, you should find a number like 23XXX, 25XXX, or 26XXX if it is a PVR-250 and google that to see what you have and check if GBPVR supports it.

Follow johnsonx42's advice and go through the wiki to set it up, then come back and see us when you get stuck. Lotsa people here to help you.

Good luck! It is worth the work to get it going.
