Just gone for rebuild with GBPVR 1.4.7 and think I've missed out something with MVPMC dongles. Clarification needed! Can I run the MVPMCX2 dongle with my MVP's (have no PCH) and will that give me any added enhancement or should I stick with old MVPMC dongle I have which works brilliantly for nearly everything?

No you didn't miss anything. It's been almost a year now with no development, and I don't even test with it anymore.
I did make a post that you can use NMTInstall to download and install the new run time, GBPVR and any updates and then reset the interfact with desktop option but mvpmc is only changing for Myth users at this point.
