What options are there remote control wise that can perform all of the usual GB-PVR functions and are also able to wake the PC when it's sleeping?
The iMON products do this, mine wakes from standby via the remote provided and controls GB-PVR and any other app (though I use a Harmony Remote with it instead).

Just found this page on the wiki. Am I right in thinking that the atric.de only comes is a 'make at home' pack and not as a plug-in use product?
My MCE remote and my remote wonder 2 both wake up from standby (S3).

The only glitch is that when it comes out of standby automatically, only my MCE remote can get the computer to send a signal to monitor to turn on. Sometimes though my remote wonder loses function coming out of standby - I still haven't figured out exactly why yet.

The key was to have the usbbiosx switch in the registry and to change the properties of the USB controller to always stay on.

yep. from an former atric user (that beeing me): you got to find some space inside to fasten the miniboard (i.e. with some screws) & hide the IR reciever somewhere
recommendation from an forme atric user (that also beeing me Wink): get yourself an genuine MCE remote (hard to get now as it's gone out of production for M$... i got mine from ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?V...0450120210, it's unbundled stuff from DELL & works out of the box) just plug&play
after about 2 years my atric solution has started with some very annoying irks. sometimes the remote would only work after reboot, sometime it would only wake up again after complete shutdown (+switching off the PSU for some seconds) so i dumped it for an MCE
