This is driving me nuts & I'm not sure by I seem to remember reading a thread about it sometime in the past but a quick search didn't bring it up & I can't remember it anyway.

When the phone rings I want to be able to pause my music & sometimes (1 in 10) it actually works, but the other 9 times it just starts the next track & then the next track etc. for eack press of the pause button sometimes it will finally pause if I press the pause button enough & when it does if I go back to the original track again & try pausing it again it will then work 9 times out of ten, this happens using both the Hauppauge & A100 remote (but to be fair I only try the A100 remote "after" the Hauppage one doesn't work)
To help me could you try without lircd. I am positive this works for me nearly 100% of the time.

Sorry for the delay I got busy yesterday but I did as requested today & yep seems to work fine when not using lircd1. Is that good news or bad news for us Hauppauge remote users?
Just to prove me half a liar it just did a similar thing with the A100 but it only jumped forward one (maybe two) song(s) then paused.
Ensure the lircd driver is not installed and upload your logs and I will have a look, although I am not sure what I will be looking for.

Holy !@#$%^ that caused a problem or 20 to get clean logs with no W2 running etc. after we had a HUGE thunderstorm yesterday & it (as it turned out) stuffed up the shares on my development PC Sad

Anyway here is a set after the pause didn't work for four presses, I was listening to Dionne Warwick's Golden Hits (Part 2)\12 Windows of the World & pressed pause it then started Leo Sayer\04 How Much Love & took another 3 presses before it paused......

BTW there is no lirc1 in the share at the moment & no reference in the scripts & I ended up having to use the M34a as the finally ended up with the A100 last night after I couldn't get the MVP's to work as a result of the thunderstorm (I actually had to restart the recordingservice before I could get the A100 to go as well but we won't tell her that <grin>)

I will also be getting onto the keys for the wiki sooner now as it was a REAL pain not knowing what the coloured keys are for M34a remote when using ML3!!
I see a bad screen saver update that looks like it might have caused a problem

Are you using the mvpmcx2.ini file for the EGreat? The second row on the remote should be logically matched to Red Green Yellow (same order as shown on screen on ml3) and Blue is on Info.

Martin
I can duplicate this sporadically with a normal setup, but I don't know what the cause is or even where to look.

Of course......not Wink

I use the Hauppauge remote until I am asked to not use the Hauppauge remote by the developer to test out this pause problem.

One thing I can say is it will not work 98% of the time when the phone rings but will work 80% when testing it out & is a damn pain in the neck when it doesn't work & I am half way through a random playlist.
My fingers are crossed that I was able to fix this in the update posted today. I found a couple of files that would consistently not pause and now they do.
