I upgraded to 1.5.24. Now I get no display whatsoever.
I'm on Windows 7 (x32). If I hover over the taskbar icon, I see a thumbnail of a valid screen, but I cant get it to actually open.

If I uninstall/re-install, no change.

If I uninstall and re-install 1.5.21, I get the same problem.

Errrr... what have I done?

OK, solved. Uninstalled, then deleted HKCU\Software\npvr. This had a size and position keys, which must have been knackered.
