Firstly great work on this release, just all seemed to worked first time with very little need of configuration.

Stupid question, but how do you access a compressed epg like the freeview.xml.gz on nzepg.org? I'm sure GB could just uncompress it - but then I could be wrong.

Thanks

Are you talking about data from http://epg.pvr.geek.nz/epg/listings-freeview.xml.gz ? If so, can you adapt the instructions from http://mentalindustries.orconhosting.net...B-PVR.html to work with NPVR? I wouldn't expect NPVR to unzip gz files natively. gz files are normally unzipped using GZip from http://www.gzip.org .
thanks, must have just been imanaging GB could uncompress it. Have tried a couple of the different ways over the years - cant remember which one was the last one setup. cheers
If its a .gz file, you can probably just type in it's URL directory, instead of a local file name.
thanks Sub,

yeah thats what I tried "http://nzepg.org/freeview.xml.gz" and fails due to it not being xml format - error about hex values. Uncompressed its fine. I was too impressed with this version so I've uninstalled GB - but pretty sure it was working like this in GB.

Have a little batch file going now to uncompress this so all good - Good work though
Ah, I see what's happen. Yeah - sorry, you'll probably need to go with your batch file for now.
