Full Version: Configuring USB Surround Sound headphones for surround sound

Hello,

I've bought some Somic e-95 headphones,& I really like them. The sound quality seems good and they're quite cheap.
Now I've got the audio going through hdmi to the tv and when I plug in the headphones it switches to the USB headphones. This was done by making the USB audio device the default and disabling any other audio drivers other than the hdmi out.

I am using GBPVR with SAF codec pack and am suspicious that I am not getting 5.1 surround to the headphones though by looking at the filters (but Im not really sure).

Any advice, software tools, help etc would be appreciated.

John

You can find them at http://www.goodluckbuy.com/champion-vers...-e-95.html

turn on ffdshow audio decoder's tray icon and when playing something, click tray icon and look under 'info' and it will show currently playing media's channels, codec, etc....
[assuming saf uses ffdshow for audio]
and p.s. check windows' audio devices screen and make sure widows knows there are surround sound speakers connected to headphone's sound card..[not headphone type[2 channel] output]
