I have installed the latest npvr and it works well with my Haupauge NOVA-S card (FreeSat in the UK) ... at least for recording and normal playback via NEWA (using VLC).

However, any attempt to stream either a recording or live-tv gives me a pixellated picture.

I cannot figure out if this is a VLC or nPVR issue?

I have tried VLC 117/103/099 at both ends - to no avail.

I seem to remember a similar issue with GBPVR that I think was a codec problem.

Any idease/suggestions welcome
Dave
Is it fine in NPVR itself? ie, only a problem when you stream from NEWA?
Yes - it's fine in nPVR and when "playing" from the NEWA recordings menu via VLC -- the problem only occurs if I STREAM from NEWA or stream live-tv.

Moved post. I dont know anything about NEWA streaming, but UJB might have some ideas for you.
Oh - OK ... any suggestions welcome.

Lower you bitrate on the pop-up that comes up to stream. (can then work your way up from here)

Change the video size to scale and set to .25 (can then work your way up from here)

Set the priority to be Above normal.

Try the MP4/MP4A/TS preset under the transcode tab.
