Full Version: Live TV on NPVR 2.0.3 hangs after period of time

Hi There,

i was just watching the Hamilton V8s on TV3 (DVB-T) and sudenly the picture just hung.


on checking the NRecord.log i see this event

Any ideas why this might be happening?

i had this happen when i was watching GEM earlier - so maybe its a H264 thing?

Ive only just migrated to NPVR from GBPVR - so dont really have any history on this product to know what could be causing it.

I can see from that snippet of the nrecord.log that it's something that happened on the client side, so it'd be in npvr.log. Post this file and I'll see if something stands out.

Ive zipped up both the Nrecord.log and the Npvr.log

Hopefully its not something ive done Smile
There is no obvious cause in the logs. It could be client/server related, or maybe related to the TV Listings plugin which was spitting out log messages at the time the problem occurred.

If it was client/server related, and it was happening often, I could probably add some logging to try to capture more info about the source of the problem.

Ill see how it goes and update case if occurring regularly.
I've had this happen on and off too. Usually hitting skip forward gets it to continue playing.

I'v seen it too, but rarely after I removed TVListings. Seems like updating from Wehther plugin might have something to do with it, but I do not know this for sure.
I had it hang earlier today when watching an old recording (Channel 2 HD) - hung several times in row.

After i changed the H264 decoder from Arcsoft back to Cyberlink V9 all seems ok so far.
