I receive my TV over the air yet there are times that I'll stream live tv for "special" occasions.
Can NPVR incorporate URLs in to the guide or menu?

The short answer is no.
Unfortunately "streaming media" is very vague. There is dozens of formats and mechanism used for streaming content to users. I have suggested I could investigate some forms of IPTV support in a future release, but I've yet to find any decent sources to test against.

If you can create a DirectShow graph to the URL that outputs a mpeg-ts stream I am working on a tuner plugin which might be able to play it. Like sub I am having difficulty finding reliable streams for testing this.
