Running Win7 H-P
all has been well for sometime now but!
All of a sudden some of my recordings have stopped short of epg time
ie I got 60min of 90
Thought it was issue with EPG but it’s occurred on two separate channels
Run out of ideas
You'd have to post the logs covering the time of the recording, and let me know the name and time the recording was supposed to run.
Sorry but I’m struggling to find the Logs you are asking for!
where do they sit?
nrecord.log would be the most useful log for this. Location:

Windows Vista & Windows 7: C:\users\public\npvr\logs
Windows XP: C:\documents and settings\all users\application data\npvr\logs
Ok here is the logs
The two programs that failed were
Master chef AU & Xfactor all dated Thursday 27th Oct

How long were they supposed to run for, and how long are the actual files?
Master cheft should have been 60 plus my buffer
only got 20min
Xfactor the files should have been 90min plus
but only 73min
I am seeing a lot of this too, lately. My wife has almost strangled me when a movie has stopped up to an hour too soon. I will see if I have some logs to upload.
I'm attaching a log file from the most recent failure. I tried to record "An Unfinished Life" which started at 1:45 am and finished at 3:40 am on Sunday 30th. I probably added about 10 minutes post padding.

The recording was missing about half it's length. Any clues from the log file?

EDIT: Hmm, looking at the log myself - I'm pretty sure it stopped at about 3:00 am when the EPG update ran. Should an EPG update kill a recording?
BUMP: Any chance of looking into this, Sub?
