Hi Everyone,

Is anyone else having an issue with TVListings continually reverting to the standard 'default' guide each time they go into the settings?

When i go into listings and check on the TVListings addin - any guides i had defined are now gone, and the program then uses 'default'. I recreate another 1-2 guides, assign the various channels to each that i want and save the settings. i can go back into the settings immediately after and the guides are still listed.

however if for some reason i go back a day or two later - the guides have all disappeared again.

Is there a particular log that i could check and see if i can find out why this is happening?
Hi,

Can you please reproduce the problem by creating one or more simple guides, then zip and attach your npvr.log and config.log files so that I can have a look? Maybe you can also attach your tv listings.db3 database file.

falling back to default guide - would see to indicate why i keep losing my custom listings.
Hi,

sorry for the late reply. It seems to me that the configuration form uses a different tv listings.db3 database to store the guide information than the plugin uses when loading the guides. Can you please try and look if you have another tv lstings.db3 database file on your system in the relevant paths (plugin/tv listings subdirectory of both the npvr data directory and the installation directory), then remove the one in the npvr installation directory? Another suggestion woud be to start from scratch using the plain database file found in the download package of the plugin at the wiki.

thanks for that - ill check tonight.

its a great plugin - love the work youve done with it
I deleted every occurence of the TV Listings.db3 file - and then put the blank one from the plugin zip file. So far everything is behaving (fingers crossed it may last)

Hi,

Looks like the issue is still happening.

I suspect its somehow linked to the EPG Update (XMLTV Files) - or maybe the xmltvextras file that get run in the middle of the night. Thats the only thing i can think of.

I have double checked and can verify there is definitely only one occurence of the TVListings.db3 file (which is in the TVListings plugin directory).
Hi,

would it be possible that you send me your npvr.db3 and tv listings.db3 database files so that I can have a look? Please contact me via PM for my e-mail address.
