The firmware on my newly purchased Egreat connects to MVPMCX2 screen then says "Request cannot be processed". It also cannot recognise new NPVR TS recordings.
The Egreat site firmware update file extracts to a single file "SMC7828.AP" which does not work as a firmware update.
Can I use the PCH 110 update file instead to connect to MVPMCX2?
Current firmware:
50-17-09024-15-EGR-403-074
PCH firmware:
01-17-101217-15-POP-000.bin
SYB8636.nmt
If so,should I install both firmware and the .nmt file?
You should be able to run mpvmcx2 on that firmware. Post the output from the NMT Syntax check and following the troubleshooting steps on the wiki
http://www.nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?n=Client.NMTand I should be able to provide some more information.
Some people do cross flash the PCH firmware onto the egreat and successfully run mvpmcx2. Google can help you out later on, it is not something you need to decide to do today.

Thanks Martin
I have now converted egreat to PCH with latest software as I was convinced that was where my problem lay ( even though it was not!)
I still connect and get "cannot be processed"

Calling NMT Source
BRIAN-PCHOME:mvpmc
smb://BRIAN-PCHOME/mvpmc Username: Password Length: 0
That looks good. Power off/on the NMT hit
Source -> BRIAN-PCHOME:mvpmc -> Blue -> N-PVR.html and then the first option N-PVR
If that fails compress and upload you npvr.cgi file from the share.
Martin
Can't reach BRIAN-PCHOME:mvpmc -> Blue -> N-PVR.html and then the first option N-PVR
BRIAN-PCHOME:mvpmc automatically starts, presumably the index file
,cgi file attached,
If you are running Jaggy's index file could you rename it.
Martin
OK - changed those and get the right file but still no go.
It look fine. If you place other media in the mvpmc folder can you play them from the NMT?
Martin
Yes, no problem playing video
For now, just use NMTInstall2 to create a USB install and run from there, there is a permission error of some sort, that I can't immediately detect.
