Using 2.3.6 and W7 x64, NPVR stopped working yesterday and won't load (NPVR has stopped working go online to check blah message). Recording service won't start giving an Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly.

I backed up publc\NPVR, uninstalled NPVR and installed 2.4.3 but I still have the same problem with the totally fresh install. WinTV works so the tuners are working. Bit confused.

Any thoughts on what I should check next?

After a reboot does stopping and starting the "NPVR service" or the "NextPVR Recording Service" give any different error message. If NRecord wont start then there may not be any useful data in NRecord.log to post so you may have to also look in the Windows "System" and "Application" logs for clues.

Solved - the crash or something had wiped config.xml (nothing in it at all), replaced with config_new.xml, seems all fine now. Weird. Thanks for tip to look in NPVR logs, sounds obvious now (doh), but there were weird errors in Windows App logs so I got distracted - at least I have all the latest drivers, bios etc now.
