Since upgrading the recording from time to time stop prematurely. Not sure what is going on.Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
It could be related to your EPG update time being 8pm (ie, middle of prime time). Try moving it to some wee hour of the morning when no recordings are likely to be happening.
