I tried VLC, ArcMedia, & Rockplayer, they all had some serious audio sync issues, then I installed this

BS Player without the CPU support and it works pretty damn good.
I am watching farscape720p right now with it. Beats the other 3 hands down.
Inevitably it will always come down to a number of factors. Capabilities of the Android device (processor, GPU, screen resolution), speed of network connection, media type (e.g., SD or HD). It pays to try a few different media apps.
Thanks for that one, I'd been round the loop trying lots and that one seems the most reliable for me on a Samsung tab 8.9
FWIW mxplayer works flawlessly for tv on my galaxy s2

Ditto on my Nexus 4 including UK Freeview HD channels
I haven't had any luck with MX Player running http live tv with h/w acceleration.

Yes that is my experience with mx player too.
