When I try to play an mp4 file from NPVR (2.5.9 fully patched). Windows 8 Pro 64bit. I have installed Windows Movie Maker and saf unlocked. I get the System Error:

"The program can't start because MP4FileLibU.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."

The mp4 file will play fine in Windows Media Player and MPC. I tried re-installing the mp4splitter from MPC standalone filters. i created the mp4 using MCEBuddy converting a NPVR .ts recording. I don't see anything of interest in the below log:

MP4FileLibU.dll isn't a file NextPVR depends on.

Maybe the default directshow decoders your machine depends on for mp4 files relies on this file but it's not present or something like that.
I realize that, what baffles me it that it plays fine in windows media player
For completeness I thought I would share. I found that installing the:

Haali Media Splitter
http://haali.su/mkv/

Solved this issue.
