Hi,

i recently have bought the mentioned cam module for my digital cine c/t card.
Now i see in the documentation, that only four moduls are supported.
My modul does not seem one of it.
Does it now really mean, that it will not work with nextpvr?

I have just started to test, but it stays dark currently.

Ijaja
No, this manufacturer's CAM module wont work with NextPVR. The reason for this is - there is no standards around CAM support, so each manufacturer implements it a different way. I don't have any devices from this manufacturer, or information about how to use their CAMs, so no way to add support for them.
Always check if the hardware is supported before buying it, hopefully you are able to return it? On a side note, I use that same card with NewCS cardserver and Acamd softcam and it works very well. It should in Germany as well unless the smartcard is paired with that particular CAM.
i had this config before using oscam.
But unfortunately it is really paired, and decoding worked only for none hd channels.
now after a change all sd senders are free. only the hd channels are encrypted (using pairing)
thats why i bought this cam modul extension.
but now as a result of testing around it does not work anymore att all :-((.
no channel is started, and on device channel scan it says device could not be started. it worked before, but now i do not get it to work anymore.
i have no idea anymore.
one thing about that:

i can install, reinstall, uninstall drivers, but the list of devices in npvr config never changes anymore. so how can i refresh it?
that might be the problem, since i installed new driver for the hardware.

i am not sure which drivers i had previously (version,...)

I'm not sure what you're asking here. Is your Cine C/T tuner not listed on the Settings->Devices screen? If not, visit the Setting->Devices screen, then post the npvr.log and I'll take a look.
ok, i will do so.

It is listed there! when i then select setup device the setup screen for it is opened. even this still works.
i can see the list of all channels configured for the device. but if i then click on scan the error appears that the device could not be started.
May be then you can see something in the log. i will send it.

But you are right. The cam module is even a ci+ one! So, i think now i really know and understand, that decryption with a pc or any open configuration will (from the current point of view) never work. I will send back the ci modul and even withdraw the digital hd packet at my tv provider.

Stays only to get the sd channels to work again. But if it worked once...

By the way, when i initially installed the tv card i also had the same problem: "device could not be started". But i forgot what i did, that it worked. i suppose i just deleted other tuners which appeared in the devices screen (dvb-t; the card is a multituner which can dvb-c and dvb-t).

Reproduce this, then post the npvr.log after attempting the scan.
