I've got NextPVR 3.4.8 installed on my server and it works great.

What I would like to be able to do now is have the guide and LiveTV available on my Android phone (Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.4) from outside my LAN (across the internet).

I've been searching and reading but got pretty confused.

In anticipation of this thread I took 2 steps
1) Downloaded, installed VLC on the server
2) My router is not upnp so I forwarded 8866 to the server

The only settings change is that I told NEWA that VLC is at PF (x86) because it is a 64 pc.
For yuks, I went to my android browser and tried to go to the external address of the server and :8866. After logging in, I was met with a runtime error screen that I don't understand but I do see a couple things that were interesting:
It said "mode = OFF" and "mode = Remote Only"

If anyone could help me along, I would appreciate it.
I've just loaded 3.4.8 and got it working nicely on my home PC (had to edit the adelaide.ini file as SBS has now been moved to 184500kHz).
Unable to get the liveTV streaming to work. Have tried nDroid app on my tablet but no joy. I can get the stream to start locally on the same machine as the server but I can't seem to get it on my androids with VLC.
