Why do I have undreds of this pair of log entries when the recording service starts:

What's strange about them? It's always done that, and the second "-backup" wakeups were recently added at my suggestion in order to recover from a scenario where the PC goes to sleep between the first wakeup time and the recording time.

I suspect that it ain't the recording that is a backup. It's the wakeup message to Windows that is a backup for when the first wakeup message doesn't work right because Windows goes to sleep in the interval between the time in the first wakeup message and the time that the recording starts.
