Can't get to any recordings as NPVR crashes just clicking the menu option. "Could not load type 'ElementOverrides' from assembly 'NextPVR,Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null'. This is happening only on 1 PC so it is something specific to this one.
Did you install the updated plugin that Alibert posted? http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...2-released
Hi guys,

I second GlenH. I was running 3.8.3 without a hitch, installed 3.9.2 and oooops! Same error. I found the thread about Sub's temporary patch (Thank you Sub!!), installed it after renaming NextPVR.exe, everything works.

But the story continues... Following the same thread where Sub published the patch found here: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...V-Listings (Now which thread should I have posted to?) I digress back on track.

So I installed TV Listings 3.7.2 (Thank you Alibert!!), renamed NextPVR to its original name (The 3.9.2 version), rebooted, same problem, clicking TV Listings or TV Recordings on the main menu causes the same error (full text and screen capture attached). I reactivated Recordings and TV Guide on the menu, the problem only occurs with clicking on TV Recordings or TV Listings. I installed the second NextPVR.exe that Sub posted in the above thread and rebooted, still no joy. I reinstalled the complete 3.9.2 over itself, rebooted, same error.

Yes I did exit NextPVR and stopped the NPVR Recording Service before all these attempts. As a last ditch attempt I deleted 3 scheduled recordings thinking this might contribute to the problem. It made no difference. As a little aside, after the error message pops up, if I leave it on the screen for around 5 seconds, I lose my mouse cursor in NPVR only. If I ALT-Tab to another open app I have mouse cursor, ALT-Tab back to NPVR, no mouse cursor. Keyboard is still active in all apps.

This is long enough but I wanted to give as much detail as possible.

Here are the Error Message and log files.

Running Windows 7 Ultimate Core2Quad Q8400 4GB RAM

Let me know if you need more info.

@Cog did you make a copy of one of the dlls? If so it should be deleted since NextPVR is still using it.

Hi Martin,

You hit it on the nose. I had made a copy long ago in case I needed to revert or maybe it was a test. Got rid of the file, exited, restarted NPVR Service for good measure, voilà!! Thanks a million.

Thank you Sub. That fixed the problem.
