DIVX AVIs play correctly on my MVP, but DV AVIs (from a digital camcorder) play for a few seconds, then stop. The same DV AVIs play correctly using GBPVR on my computer.

This is not meant to be?

You could try increasing the transcode pre-play delay in the config app. It may help.
It plays the DV AVIs for as long as the transcode pre-play delay is set to.
- when set to 5.5 seconds, there is a 5.5 second delay then 5.5 seconds of video
- when set to 10 seconds, there is a 10 second delay then 10 seconds of video

This implies your machine isnt fast enough to transcode from DV to MPEG2 in real time.

Transcoding requires quite a bit more CPU grunt than simply playing a file.
