When I start playing a channel it'll play for a few seconds and then starts to buffer. Same behavior if i switch channels.  I'm doing extended timeshift and my backend is on the same box as my front end so there shouldn't be a network issue.  My HD homerun prime is hardwired.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

That's not a kodi debug log so can't see anything there.

Do you see anything in the HDHR logs at 10:18 today

Martin
Just updated the firmware to see if that would help and it didn't  here are the new logs.

The only kodi log files I can find are in the temp file kodi.log and kodi.log.old.  Is there another location for the debug logs?  Thanks for looking into this.
There is more info on debug logs here https://github.com/sub3/NextPVR/wiki/get-help

Martin
Also maybe confirm that the stream works directly from the HDHR

I think I enabled the kodi debug log based on your direction?

Using ffplay I have no buffering issues at all.
If you try ffplay to nextpvr, does have the problem?

ffplay http://localhost:8866/live?channel=841

I don't see an issue with buffering when I try that command.  Here is some of the output from the console:

I remember because of another issue you had to turn off h/w decoding in Kodi. That would certainly potentially cause buffering issues. If you have SD channels do they play OK?

Martin
I think you might be on to something. I'm not seeing an issue on a SD channel

Okay, i toggled the hardware decoder and now the issue isn't currently happening. Really weird

Okay, it happens for some channels but not all. I can't find a pattern, but its more than not.
