Full Version: Jellyfin recording with NPVR plugin

I could not initiate a recording from the guide with Jellyfin using the Nextpvr plugin. When attempting to start a recording from the guide there is a spinning color circle and it never stops. In this example I am using Linux for both the Jellyfin and NextPVR servers. The logs capture an attempt to start a recording from the Jellyfin web client guide.

After collecting the logs I decided to try to setup Jellyfin live tv with their DVR. The setup required selecting paths for the recording directories. I could successfully start a recording using their DVR. Then I deleted the Jellyfin DVR, restarted Jellyfin server, and went back to using the NextPVR plugin and I could start a recording without issue.
Your jellyfin log is from Oct 1st so not much help.

Typically that indicates your EPG is out of sync. I also never saw a successful recording scheduled.

Oops! Sorry about that. I attached newer logs.

I expect the constantly spinning indication from Jellyfin would indicate that no recording was scheduled. That was the problem.

Ok, I think that was the problem. It's working fine now. I made the guide update happen just after NextPVR does it.

No problem. The jellyfin log confirmed my speculation that it did an EPG update from NextPVR when you loaded the DVR.
