I've had persistent audio/video sync problems with two local broadcast channels, CITY-TV and Global-TV, Vancouver BC. The Auto A/V Correction in the LAV audio filter helped. It happened after a ComSkip or any skip. At worse, the picture go into slo-mo until the audio caught up. It got much worse after I switched from an ATI 5450 to an Nvidia GT-710. Audio was off by up to a second or more and I'd have to skip backwards up to 3 10-second jumps to re-sync. Recordings were OK in VLC and PowerDVD 19 which indicated a CODEC issue. So, I went back to an old, old standby - AC3Filter v2.6.0b. I set it up for SPDIF passthrough of AC3, DTS and MPEG audio.
