I recently got both a Raspberry Pi 4B for a personal project to bring Mexican channels to the US, which will be completed in December, but upon connecting the tuner, it doesn't show up on NextPVR settings even though it shows up in dmesg...

And I also used TVHeadend to compare both software, however it actually detected the thing.
It detected fine on my Windows machine, why not my Pi?

I am using the latest version of NPVR.
Did you click rescan and then ctrl-F5 after inserting the device to refersh the list that is detected at startup? Also make sure to untick the option to detect device on startup once it is configured.

If that still fails uploads your zipped logs.

Martin
Yeah I got nothing. Here are the logs.
I remember now sub has a packaging issue and I uploaded anither file here https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...#pid584033

Martin
Thank you, this worked!

EDIT: Well, the tuner detected, but trying to scan for channels is weird on here... it DOES detect channels, but then it finishes by not showing the channels it scanned. And then saves absolutely nothing.

Logs attatched.
You might need the 6.1.4 version when sub publishes it. However one problem here is you didn't let the first scan on adapter0 stop let it go all the way through.

To restart, delete /var/opt/nextpvr/adapter0-ATSC-channels-scan.conf and /var/opt/nextpvr/adapter1-ATSC-channels-scan.conf the restart the nextpvr-server and scan adapter 0 again. Let it finish and click save. Then instead of scanning adapter1 copy it when prompted.

Then restart the server because of one bugs in the earlier version that didn't release the tuner after a scan.

This *actually worked* for reals this time.

By the way, any chance that I can get the "Server is not fast enough for playback in a web browser ([number]x)" message?
I have a RPi 4 4GB variant.
Other than that, that's the only minor problem I have for now.
Well the RPi is not fast enough to transcode ATSC HD broadcasts in real time so I don't understand your ask. You need to use a direct play client like Kodi or other platform clients.

For performance, if you aren't using UI clients and are using recordings don't forget to turn off thumbnail and timing generation on low end servers. Search the forum.

Martin
I see. Well then, thank you so much for your help.
I am having a problem with NextPVR not detecting my WinTV Dual HD tuner.  I have been running NextPvr on my pi 4 for since I got it until a couple of months ago.  I have reinstalled the Pi Os and NextPvr several times and even changed the SD card with the same results.  I can run Kaffiine and it detects the WinTV tunner.  I did run a couple of commands below, but I do not know what else to do.

pi@PiCan:~ $ uname -a

I am running  Version 6.1.4.230625

I would appreciate any help.

Thanks
