*****12/18/23 Follow up

As Martin rightly stated, it is WAY more complicated then my simple initial testing implied. So far converting with ffmpeg works for some streams but not others. More testing and ultimate results to come.

For anyone interested, in my VERY initial testing, mceBuddy (ffmpeg) conversion does seem to resolve the specific issues I was having. Hangs on commercials and using skip forward/back on pluto recorded streams.

So far have tested with NextPVR.exe client and mediaPlayer. I will test VLC, kodi, and others as i test Npvr clients.

I will report back with final conclusions after much more testing.

Once again, MUCH thanks to Martin for his helping me get this far!

Each stream from PlutoTV is different so there is not one solution. Make sure you test many shows and channels.

OK, obviously MUCH more testing ahead. Thank you for the heads up.

The most frustrating part testing is recording 3 shows that seem to play perfectly and then having one fail and freeze.
