I have neglected in reading the forum for about 3 weeks or so... What all have I missed! I am starting to catch up tonight. I can't seem to stay in the loop on GBPVR and on my car stuff at the same time.
Does anyone know where i can get a copy of the previous release of gbpvr, ummm 96.12 i think....whichever one was directly before the one just released this past weekend?
Looking at size following "ListViewNormalItem", it suggests the total item size is 500 x 30. The DrawRoundedRect location is (3,3) so, if this is relative to the top left corner of the item, it makes sense that the size of it should be (500-6) x (30 - 6) for the sake of symmetry and that the SkinHelper.getNamedImage method handles this offset. So far so good if I've got that right.
The problem is the text labels. Their location attributes both show (5,4). If this is relative to either the ListViewNormalItem OR to the RoundedRect, why don't they overwrite each other? If it's relative to each other (possibly then relative to the origin of the Item OR the RoundedRect) then their locations would be either (5,4) and (10,8) or (8,7) and (13,11) respectively. In either case, how can they both have a height of 25 without going beyond the bounds of either the RoundedRect (height 24) or the Item itself?
I've played with different settings in the XML file but I'm not always sure exactly what I'm seeing.
(Link may not work well until wiki issues clear up.)
No link on the wiki page, this is the only place to find it right now. The file is there, MixMan will just need to create a listing for it. (I do not have the time to do screen shots and such this weekend.) Plus, this file was uploaded during one of the breif moments the wiki has been up.
This will make baseskin "look" like Chameleon. For Appearance Manager, it includes the different background variations of "Blue" only , Default Chameleon button style, and default SkinEffect. (Baseskin is not compatible with SkinEffects for the plugins at this time.)
You can download additional buttons from the skinpacks wiki page.
This themepack will also give BaseSkin the Chameleon Appearance Manager skin to show plugin previews.
This theme will also be included with Chameleon v.1.0 due out this weekend.
I just tried GBPVR for the first time and I must it looks incredible. However, I can't get the MVP to see the GBPVR. I tried the Hauppauge software and it connected just fine. I then uninstalled the Hauppauge software for the MVP and then chose 1 server in the MVP tab under CONFIG for GBPVR. The MVP says loading application but never does anything else.
Any thoughts on how this should be configured for first time use? I tried to reach the WIKI but I can't get to the web site. Evidently it has had some issues over the past few days.
I just wanted to ask if someone has got this to work in the latest release, after applying the patch sub provided here. In my setup it didn't work, i had the same errors and "fuzzy white lines" as "onestar" reported here.
I have started looking at developing a plugin that can be used to control iTunes through GBPVR. I created a very quick prototype last night that gives the following (very basic) functionality:
- View the songs in your main Library.
- Play the songs in your main Library.
- Go to the Next song in your main Library.
- Stop
As I said, very basic!
Building this prototype has been a large learning experience for me. I'm a software developer for a living, but had never used C# before, and also had to learn the GBPVR Plugin SDK and the iTunes SDK.
Before I go further, I wanted to put the announement out to the GBPVR community that I have started to build the plugin and to get input on what it should look like, what it should be able to do, and anything else you can think of. For an initial release, I would like to see:
- Support for the main library (view and play).
- Support for Shared music sources (view and play) (Note: I had this working in the prototype, so I know it's possible).
- Support for Podcasts (view, subscribe, play).
Anything else?
Andrew
PS: I've attatched the prototype to this post. It requires the latest GBPVR (97.7), GbpvrUiElements and the GBPVR Common Utilities. Check the Wiki to get these installed. (Of course, it also requires iTunes!!)
PPS: Keep in mind that it is just a prototype!
