Hey I think my new script should do the trick. I'll try to release it as beta in the next few days. The script will have a ini file in each show directory which will tell the script to choose the appropriate encoding profile.

The script can be configured to run ASAP or overnight.

Is there a way to ask this to do it at say, 12 in the morning to 5?

If this question was for me then please feel free to do so. I'll also be updating this script in the next few days to add some more functionality.

    Here's an updated batchfile.

    Improvements:

    - Separate profiles for letterbox, hdtv, cartoon, and default.
    - Option to delete the original file after transcode

    Todo list:

    - Add variables to make changing settings easier.
    - MISC enhancements

If any PAL users are interested in this I can create profiles for that format.

This can also work well as a postprocessing.bat file. I'm looking into a way for it to find out when gbconvert.exe is finished before processing. If anyone has ideas please let me know.

I'm also interested in a PAL version. Although there is now built-in ffmpeg support in the latest GB-PVR release, I'm keen on selective transcoding so this threads solution is of more interest to me currently.
