I'm pretty sure it did not as we don't have closed captions on broadcasts here (as far as I am aware).

Frustrated that NextPVR is not working? Take a moment and consider this and this and this and this and this and this. Sub, I did some testing with mvpmc today and it will crash too if the <MVPClientType>PCH</MVPClientType> setting is on and there is an srt file.

Bump. I was playing with some old samples and this is still happening on the PCH. I think GBPVR is sending the alpha channel information "Sending OSD frame" which mvpmcx2 doesn't decode yet.

    Code:
008-07-06 22:22:48.214	VERBOSE	[6]	Creating new render hash list
    2008-07-06 22:22:48.214	VERBOSE	[6] - adding render hash: SRTSubtites:32,432,576,115:False
    2008-07-06 22:22:48.223	VERBOSE	[6]	Sending OSD frame
2008-07-06 22:22:48.251	VERBOSE	[7]	Received request to seek to pos:38
2008-07-06 22:22:48.329	VERBOSE	[6]	About to send incremental update
2008-07-06 22:22:48.383	ERROR	[6]	error sending incremental frame: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host

I've added something for the next release that will stop this happening.
