Given that only 13 people downloaded the last update to ML3 in 4 months I guess I am trying to decide if it is worth supporting MusicLibary into the future.

While I've voted for the standard Music Library, I have downloaded ML3 and have it configured in the main menu. However what really annoys me about any music lib I've tried in GBPVR is having to get image files/album covers for each album/folder manually. I long since gave up after doing a few. iTunes is nice that it just gets them (not that it manages them all). Is there any lib for GBPVR that'll attempt to find cover images itself?
I'm afraid I listen to music with different hardware, independent of gbpvr.
I have just downloaded ML3 but as I use firefox often it don't show that I have downloaded it so the numbers may not be 100% correct.
I usually use winamp for music but since I have gone to using the popcorn hour I need a music player and ml3 seems to Do what I want well.
As for album covers I update them when I can be bothered I listen to the music not watch it

ML3 is one of THE key features of my system. I suppose I mostly pick a genre and start a random playlist - I have New Playlist at the end of a random playlist set on. It's great if you've got folk in for dinner or stuff and it's great if you want to get on with doing something in the house and it's great if you just want to sit and listen to some music...
I do use it a lot and would be really disapointed if it fell into the abyss.
It will be interesting to see how many respond to this poll. One of the 'problems' with 1.4.7 and the plugins I use is that the system is really stable for me (and Mrs ACTCMS) and probably for a lot of other users. From my experience of this forum, folks are very active when something stops working for them, but when everything is working fine, they tend to sit quiet...

We use MusicLibrary3 when we listen to music on our HTPC (family likes the remote control interface), however, we do so very infrequently as our library isn't very current.

I would find it very difficult to live with out ML3 now, the current nightly has been working fine for me & I am (is that was now?) looking forward to the improvements you are/were planning for the future.
Huh do you mean if downloaded using FF it doesn't show in the download count? That could explain a bit.Originally Posted by stustunz
We use ML3 daily (one of the nightlies, I forget which one). Its great, I even scanned in my entire cd collection so I no longer use my cd player.
We're getting a coupla netbooks shortly (Asus 1201n), and I plan play over the wifi into the yard/garage etc.
Maybe a note about software users..
Getting people to use GBPVR is more difficult, as it doesnt appear in a shiny box at the local box store.
Managing to draw some % of those ppl to download and install GBPVR is difficult.
Managing to point out some 'addition' to GBPVR and convincing them to install and configure it is more difficult.
Getting them to come back and install upgrades is even more difficult.. lol
So it got me to thinking.. why not have a menu item in GBPVR that says 'Whats New'.
When the user clicks on that (on a pc, or media client etc), a connection is made to one of sub's hosts that
provides a brief text of upgrades, addons, etc . They would still have to log onto the pc and visit the GBPVR site
etc (Im not talking about some menu driven auto-installer) but at least it might drive some end-users
back home ?
I use the nightlies, but must say I don't listen to music as often as I used to, and now it's either random playlist, or find a particular song for the baby.
