Microsoft MS DTV-DVD no longer works for me

i noticed there were updates overnight and now, coincidentally, using the Microsoft MS DTV-DVD that I went back to using a while ago because it's the best for me, no longer works. Anyone else having this problem?
Swapping to elecard mpeg2 decoder works but isn't as good a picture.

Yes, I noticed exactly the same thing. Hopefully they fix it.

It's not related to NextPVR because I see the same problem with other software.

It seems to give a nasty crash when you try to hook it up with anything (like LAV Splitter Source etc). It does still work in WMP, but I can't get it to work in anything else.

Yes looks like HDHR have same problem with the update https://forum.silicondust.com/forum/...?f=119&t=64482 Given that the MS DVD app will crash too that might mean it is taken seriously. I hope so since I see I have this update pending, it is a matter of time for me too.

This should be made a sticky post until it is resolved.

Ok, I've marked this as sticky.

It seems to die in "C:\Windows\SysWOW64\CompPkgSup.dll"

I don't really like uninstalling Windows updates, but uninstalling KB4013429 did get it working again.

I'll keep an eye on that silicondust thread so I know when it's fix or other workaround found.

Yeah, I saw that post too. Hopefully! My install hasn't actually reinstalled it yet, but when it complete it'll be interesting to check this out.
