Unable to communicate with recording service

I have installed nextpvr on two pcs. A laptop with a usb dongle which works fine and a desktop with a tbs6205 quad dvb card which fails with the above message when trying to watch
live tv or recording. Before I attempt either the recording service is running but afterwards it's stopped. when attempting to record I do get several seconds of transport .ts saved. this
varies form 3 to 8 seconds. I have mediaportal 1 installed on this machine which works ok. All the firewall settings are good. System is windows 10 pro version 1803. System is AMD
8350 with 16GB ram and ssd boot disk. None of the nextpvr default setting have been changed. I hope somebody can give me a pointer to what the issue is. I attach the contents of
    the log folder.

Hi there and welcome to the forum.

It does look like some sort of firewall or other network security tool issue so you might want to disable the firewall (and any security software) and retest.
Can you also check in your windows event viewer for any errors related to the npvr recording service.

Youdo need to clean up your EPG source to remove references to a deleted device.
