    unzip was the problem.

Haven't had much time to play with it yet, but I have run into an issue which may or may not be related. I have two HDHR prime tuners on the network and looking at the logs npvr is finding both tuners. I can hit discover.json" and "lineup.json" for both tuners but only the first one is showing up on the devices page. I seem to remember something like this in another post somewhere, but I can't find it. Here's the logs.

Ok good, I will make unzip a dependency in my next update.

I don't think that the deb has anything to do with the HDHR prime message

2019-08-05 11:00:48.337 [ERROR][1] Unable to connect to HDHR device (http://192.168.1.12/discover.json)

I am not sure if the Primes need it, but te installer log you posted earlier had the hdhomerun_config utility loaded so I think this issue is for sub.
