    how to setup client / server with my Hauppauge WinTV HVR 2250 card.

    Hi to all members here I am a newbie to this so i would like some help please thanks.. I have a Hauppauge WinTV HVR 2250 card on my gaming computer (OS win 7 pro / 16gb ram/ gpu 770 card) useing it for 6 analog channels but i want to share it online to friends and family who can not get the stream online my question is i need to know how to setup the sever side and the client side with the server side where it uses a user name and a password to access all 6 channels thanks for the help in advace...

    NextPVR is for personal use only so I am not sure that your planned use qualifies.

    I just want to make sure no one use the channels besides my friends and family that's y i want to have it with user/pass...

    We will see what sub says about that usage.

    Given that the web access has a password and the Kodi, Apple and Android remote access requires a pin don't share that information and you should have basic security.

    For setup of the server you basically just need to make sure your router passes through the internet traffic and firewall allow port 8866 on the internet, and toggle some remote access setting in config.xml.

    And add on top what Martin said you need let them your IP to your router

    setup the sever side and the client side with the server side where it uses a user name and a password
    As in per-user with there own user name and a password ?.
