a schedule to watch would be handy. sometimes when i'm waiting for a show to begin, i'll end up watching something in the mean time. it would be nice if it would autotune but not record

I have been thinking about doing this at some stage.

How do you guys think it should behave? Remember there may be multiple MVP clients.

perhaps like sky does here in nz (im not sure if you have sky sub, you might have saturn) where a popup box that says "Blah blah is booked to start in 5 minutes" and at the screen you can cancel it. for a mvp perhaps let certain mvps cancel it, but if one does not start live tv on that mvp (provided a free tuner is available, if its not just say "sorry tuner unavailable").

Thats the easy bit to work out.

Come again?

If you've got a PC and three MVP, should that popup appear on all of them? If there is only one tuner, only one of them will be able to watch it. It seems a bit disruptive to show it on all four, but I cant really think of a clean alternative.

well if you booked it on one mvp the night before (say in your bedroom) and watching in your living room it should still ask you, or warning its about to start.

perhaps instead of a "click to cancel" have "click to confirm" that way if your out of the room it doesnt force its way onto the tv, if someone else is wanting to watch it. (or make it configurable to be confirm or cancel).

yeah definitly a popup asking you to confirm the watch now. for the mvp, it would be nice if you have a choice between the one you set or asking on all. i don't know about asking on all the mvp's. would get annoying if your kids set it for stuff and it asks you.
